Double Honours Degree in Social Sciences (cum laude) and Accredited Mediator

1. Labour Relations Consultant

Corlie had started her Human Resources/Labour Relations career, working at corporate companies and then taking the step, twenty years ago, to become an Independent Consultant which had given her the ability to look at Labour related issues through the eyes of both the employee and the employer.
Her aim is to provide small, medium and larger companies with effective solutions when the Employer is overwhelmed by the Labyrinth of Human Resources and Labour Law issues.
she is skilled in identifying and solving labour relations issues such as:

  • Developing and implementing workplace policies and procedures
  • Drawing up of employment contracts
  • Managing performance
  • Facilitating Procedures
  • Counselling
  • Chairing Disciplinary and Incapacity Hearings
  • Providing Hearings Minutes
  • Investigating Misconduct
  • Issuing of Warnings
  • Assisting in CCMA/Bargaining council preparation
  • Consulting on retrenchment processes
  • Drawing up of job descriptions
  • Employment Equity implementation and submissions

2. Accredited Mediator

Corlie is a Conflict Dynamics accredited mediator with a facilitative mediation style. She encourages parties to find solutions without trying to influence the outcome. She is experienced in:

  • Rule 41A mediations
  • Commercial mediations
  • Workplace mediations

3. Training Facilitator

Corlie has compiled training material and facilitated training for small and large companies in the following areas

  • Instituting discipline in the working environment
  • Harassment in the workplace
  • Chairing disciplinary hearings
  • Effective investigations and initiating hearings
  • Employment equity
